The Azenis FK510 is Falken’s Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes, performance sedans and modern muscle cars who want dry and wet traction and handling in a refined package. The Azenis FK510 is designed to deliver driver confidence in warm conditions, so like all Ultra High Performance Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Falken Azenis FK510The Azenis FK510’s 4D Nano Design tread compound is molded into an asymmetric, Adaptive Constant Pressure (ACP) pattern design. ACP improves distribution of pressure throughout the contact patch for enhanced directional stability and reduced stopping distances, and the wide, outboard shoulder blocks deliver the lateral grip required during performance driving. The tread compound was designed at the molecular level to optimize adhesion in wet conditions, and the Switchback Siping helps to maximize rubber-to-road contact during wet cornering. Four wide, circumferential grooves allow water to flow through the contact patch to resist hydroplaning.

Internal construction of the Azenis FK510 utilizes Falken’s Tension Control Technology casing mold shape to provide a flexible middle sidewall area for reduced impact harshness and a rigid outside shoulder and bead area for handling capability. Its two wide, steel belts are reinforced by a hybrid Aramid and nylon undertread cap ply to provide added rigidity and high-speed stability.

Note: Ultra High Performance Summer tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Ultra High Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

  1. I bought these tires without much expectation due to the low price compared to OEM michelins for the Tesla Performance Model 3, which are 3 times the price! These are louder than the Michelins since they don’t have foam inside. However, this is not that noticeable especially on the track where the windows are open anyway, and wind noise is louder. Grip is way better than expected, but steering response is a little twitchy compared to michelins, although I did not get an alignment done after fitting these tires. So far wear is very even. I’ve done 2 track days on these tires! I put in a personal best time on them as well, 1 second faster than the michelins. Otherwise, I mostly drive freeway with about 160 miles per day! Tires are holding up well.

  2. I was running Gforce. Gforce tires were good to me but I don’t need my tires talking to me.The Fk510’s are underrated. Compared to the Gforce these tire are as smooth as glass and grip the road better.

  3. Came from Bridgestone Potenza RE050A N1 on my 08 911. Was looking for a similar spec tire, but at a lower cost. Decided to try the FK510 based on reviews, including the Tire Rack test. I am a bit disappointed, although I suppose I can’t complain too much since these were half the cost of the RE050A.Steering responsiveness is slow at all speeds. You can feel sidewall slop during high speed direction changes. Once the tires settle in hard cornering, there is decent grip and feedback. The tires are on the comfortable side during daily driving, and transmit less harshness into the cabin. Road noise is low, although I’ve only driven about 1200mi on the tires. Haven’t driven much in the rain yet, but the tires seem to grip well, with no obvious hydroplaning.I don’t have the same confidence with these tires above 70mph as the RE050A. The FK510 also seem to have a slight wander at speeds above 55mph. Alignment was performed and specs are close to when the RE050A were installed. Also, the tires took a bit longer to break-in than the Bridgestone or Michelin summer tires I’ve had in the past.Overall, this is a decent tire for the price; however, if you value steering response and high speed agility, look elsewhere. This tire feels like a cross between a summer tire and all-season. Personally I will switch back to Bridgestone or Michelin that I’ve had in the past (RE050A and PSS) after these wear.

  4. 95% of the performance of Michelin Super sports for 1/3 of the price! I drive pretty aggressive with these on my R32 and they are showing 9/32 after 5,500 miles of driving so far this summer. So they are just broken in after 5k+ miles which is fantastic for a UHP summer tire. I am not sure how many miles I’ll get but for this price point anything over 10,000 miles would be fantastic the way I drive and I don’t see that. Being an issue. I bought a set the general g max RS UHP and after 6,000 miles they are very worn and will barely last the rest of this summer season. Next year that other car will get a set of the falken as well.

  5. So I have staggered 17’s and 18’s on my C5. Point of reference are the Goodyear F1 original tires. Had settled on the Indy 500’s as many Vette buyers do so and it seemed a safe bet. TR was out of the fronts, backorder. The Falkans were high on my list after the research. Newer tire/technology. Just came back from TR. only 200 miles on tire but ; very quiet, feel strong under the C5, very stable, excellent roll, firm but not slappy. Really a nice tire at the same price point as the Firehawk Indy 500 which has great reviews. Don’t be afraid of this tire. Good choice. I’ll update when I have more miles on them. Had them installed at TR in So Bend. Great folks and they do it right. Great company that spends money testing tires, educating and hires great people.

  6. Have about 5000 miles on these tires and I just rotated them. Was surprised at the wear on the fronts. Overall I am happy with these tires. They handle great in wet and dry and are very responsive.
