The Goodyear Assurance radial featuring ComforTred Technology is a premium Passenger All-Season tire designed to bestow Goodyear’s ultimate ride comfort to the drivers of luxury coupes and sedans. It was developed to combine long wear with year-round traction, including light snow.

On the outside, the Assurance ComforTred radial features a symmetric tread design that uses a system of densely packed tread blocks to offer a smooth, quiet and comfortable ride. A super-shock absorbent layer of rubber sandwiched between the tread and steel belts (that provides on average 20% more cushion than standard auto tires) insulates vibration and impacts with expansion joints, potholes and bumps. On the inside, the Assurance ComforTred radial’s polyester cord body and twin steel belts to help deliver a smooth ride along with strength and durability.

Assurance ComforTred radials feature Goodyear’s PermaBlack compound additive that maintains new-tire appearance throughout the life of the tire. Assurance ComforTred radials feature subtle smooth letters reversed out of a stylized serrated sidewall band.

  1. These tires came from the factory badly out of round and caused my 08 Buick Lucerne to shake and vibrate badly. I had another set of tire installed by Goodyear dealer and they were even worse out of round. A very unsafe tire. I had to have them removed and replaced by a competitor and then the car was safe and smooth again.

  2. I have been so pleased with these tires. They are quiet, and handle well in snow and rain. At 33,000 miles, and 5 years old, they have about half of the tread left. The only complaint I have, and I am not sure if it is the tires or the car, is that I have had to re-balance the fronts several times. If they are out of balance by even a small amount (less than a 1/2 ounce), the steering wheel shakes at 65+ mph, and they do go out of balance. Other than that, I love these tires!

  3. These tires performed well for three years of spring/summer/fall weather. (Not used in winter, switched to winter tires) This past year the tires performance has significantly diminished even though the treads are not worn out. The tires are just plain dangerous to drive in wet conditions. Maybe it is the fact they are 4 years old, but was not expecting the significant reduction in wet weather traction. (In case someone is questioning how the tires were stored for the winter, they were kept in a heated 60 deg garage so I don’t think that was the issue.)

  4. I have owned several set of these tires on two other automobiles over the past few years and i love these tires. They are quiet and a very good ride. I get good mileage out of every set. You need to check the air pressure and rotate regularly, but they last.

  5. Bought these for my malibu because I wanted an american tire and because of the brand history and reputation. Put 30k mostly highway on these and they did great and are still on the car which I gifted to a family member who will probably get another 30k out of them! I actually bought one for my wife’s chevy cruze when she lost a tire to a nail but sadly we could not afford to replace the other three tires a month later when we were told we needed all new tires but I would buy these again someday if I can afford them!
