The Assurance TripleTred All-Season is Goodyear’s premium Passenger All-Season tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans and minivans looking for confident all-season traction. The Assurance TripleTred All-Season is designed with three unique tread zones to provide year-round drivability and all-season traction, even in light snow.

The Assurance TripleTred All-Season’s directional tread pattern features three distinct tread zones specifically tuned to deliver traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions. The Dry Zone features large shoulder blocks to provide confident maneuvering on dry pavement. The Water Zone uses sculptured Aquachannel grooves that help evacuate water and slush to increase traction on wet roads. And the Ice Zone features a unique tread compound made of innovative polymers mixed with traction-enhancing volcanic sand and glass fibers. This unique compound is molded into a continuous center rib with multiple biting edges to enhance gripping traction on slick roads, packed snow and ice. The Assurance TripleTred All-Season tread pattern also features Goodyear’s Evolving Traction Grooves that begin as 1/10″ wide sipes to maximize footprint contact when the tire is new, and broaden into wider lateral grooves as the tire wears. Compared to conventional sipes, Evolving Traction Grooves generate more rain, slush and snow traction longer into the tire’s life.

The tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wound polyamide to blend ride quality with durability. The tire features a polyester cord casing to enhance ride comfort.

  1. These tires wore well until about 45k, I had the tires rotated every 5,000 and the vehicle aligned twice a year, as the tire wore down, the road noise got louder and louder and ride became rougher and rougher. If they are rated for 80k it’s my opinion its strictly the wear on rubber and not for noise or smoothness of the tire. As for snow, good traction when headed to the ski slopes in the Sierra’s.I hope to go 70k on this set. If your looking for a quiet and smooth tire to go the life of the tire 80k This is NOT the tire you should purchase.

  2. We bought these for my wife’s Accord. She is a very easy going driver and we wanted a good all season. These tires were a significant upgrade from the OEM tires the car came with new. While the former tires struggled in getting the car up a snowy driveway, these do not. We try to avoid driving this car in snow storms and wait until the roads are plowed, but I have confidence in these tires for the typical packed snow, slush and ice. I have driven the car on the interstate through some pretty harrowing rain storms and I felt in control. I am considering dedicated winter tires, but am generally on the fence due to the pretty good performance of these tires in wet and snow and our driving habits.

  3. These were some of the best wet weather tires I have ever had. They resist hydroplaning really well and have plenty of grip for starting and stopping even on cold wet or slushy roads. They did good driving in light to med snow as well, but they did lose a little traction in deeper snow, but I think they were still better than most all season tires I have had. Even as they wear, they are maintaining really good traction. They have a very firm ride and feel confident when cornering hard, but they give a rough noisy ride. I feel and hear almost every bump in the road. As they wear they are getting louder as well. If your looking for a quiet soft ride, these are not the tires you want. I would buy them again. For me, the performance is worth the noise and stiff ride. Especially the wet weather performance.

  4. Don’t buy these tires. I may have made these tires sound better than what they are. The problem is (YOU CAN NOT KEEP THEM BALANCED). I have spent more money on trying to keep these tires balanced than they are worth (30,621 miles) and its not the place I take to have them balanced. Had them back to the franchised Goodyear dealer thee times replaced one tire. It was out of round. Had a flat spot on it. ps did not know this until I had bought these tires and already had them on my van. My dad had a different set of Goodyear tires. He could not keep them balanced either. Never buy another Goodyear tire.

  5. I am about to trade my Subaru in on another new one. The car has 146k miles and I put these tires on it at 55k after the OEM ones lost all tread. The trade in appraiser told me they still have some more miles left on them. Here in Buffalo, the importance of having all wheel drive and good tires really matters for about 6 months a year.

  6. I Purchased these Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred‘s to replace my OEM tires. They are warranty rated for 80,000 miles and I’m already at 76,000 with plenty of good tread left on them for late spring, summer, and fall driving. I’m only considering replacing them now, after having them for nearly four years because the trend is low enough where I wouldn’t want to risk driving them in deep snow. As an EMS professional and ski patroller I often have this vehicle out in bad weather. Using it out at the ski slopes in snowy conditions these tires are excellent. I have use these tires previously on other vehicles that I own for my family and have been very pleased with the treadwear, quiet ride, traction, and comfort in quietness of the ride. I make sure to check the tire pressure on these at least monthly. I read many other reviews here, and some of those which were not as positive, I noticed seem to be on mostly on minivans. I’m also not sure how often those owners check their tire pressure or have their tires balanced and rotated regularly, as I do mine at least twice a year.
