The Dynapro HP2 is Hankook’s Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of crossovers, sport utility vehicles and prestigious pickups looking for year-round, on-road capabilities. Designed to combine good ride comfort, long wear and low rolling resistance to promote vehicle fuel economy, Dynapro HP2 tires also deliver all-season traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, even in light snow.

Dynapro HP2 tires feature an all-season silica enhanced tread compound molded into a symmetric design that blends wet, dry and wintertime traction. Hankook’s 3D Shoulder Block technology and radially oriented sipes that lock together for greater tread block stiffness improve dry road handling, while a continuous center rib promotes steering control and feedback. Four wide circumferential grooves help channel water from under the tire’s footprint to resist hydroplaning and maintain wet traction. Engineered siping in every tread block adds hundreds of biting edges to help generate snow traction.

The tire’s internal structure includes two wide steel belts reinforced with spirally wound jointless nylon cord to combine high-speed durability with ride uniformity. A high-density polyester casing blends steering response with ride comfort.

  1. These tires had terrible wet traction from the very beginning. They were the originals on the Kia mini-van, which is my wife’s vehicle. She complained, even when brand new, that they would slip on a wet street when starting from a complete stop at a traffic light, etc. Winter traction was marginal last year, when the tires were practically new. This year, we are going to have to replace them, because with about 32,000 miles on them, they have practically no tread definition at the centers of their footprints. Terrible tires, terrible tread life.

  2. Bought these tires about two years ago and have just about 39,000 miles on them and am told they have to be replaced. I have had several cars with several different brands of tires and am an experienced all weather driver. These are by far the WORST tires I have ever owned. No matter the condition, traction is limited and winter driving was terrifying as the tiniest bit of snow/ice and the car was sliding. The slightest imperfection in the road causes traction issues (and I even had the entire suspension replaced). I would not recommend these tires.

  3. This tire was supposed to get 60,000 miles, it got less than 30,000 miles! I had to replace them today for my own safety. I am a 60 year old man who rotates his tires every 5,000 miles faithfully. I would never buy another set of Hankook tires, initially the price was great but that old adage “you get what you pay for” could never be truer. I will stick with Michelins and Goodyear tires they have both lasted me at least 50,000 miles.

  4. rotated the tires each 10,000 miles and only lasted 50,600 miles. The inside steel belt started to come apart. Not a good tire for towing!

  5. With a brand new vehicle and only 7700 miles, I should not hydroplane or slide on wet pavement! By far the worst tires I have ever had! Will be complaining to Ford about the cheap crap tires on their vehicle! I should not be tire shopping with 7700 miles on my vehicle, but yet I am. I will be going back to Michelin or I hear BF Goodrich are amazing on trucks and SUV’s! but not these han kooky garbage.
