The Kinergy ST is Hankook’s Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of family sedans, crossovers, coupes and minivans who want a balanced blend of performance combined with long tread life. The Kinergy ST was designed to deliver a smooth and quiet ride along with confident traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, even light snow.

Utilizing an abrasion-resistant all-season compound provides durability, and the symmetric pattern of the Kinergy ST allows for easy rotation patterns to resist irregular wear and prolong tire life. A coupled center rib and tie bars in the outboard grooves help stabilize the tread for enhanced rigidity and responsive handling. The optimized pitch sequence is designed to reduce tread noise, and the independent tread blocks and sipes create multiple biting edges for traction in slippery conditions. Open shoulder slots and deep, circumferential grooves help evacuate water from the contact patch for hydroplaning resistance, and wide, lateral notches combine with the optimized sipes to provide wet braking performance and light snow traction.

Internal construction of the Kinergy ST consists of a two-ply, polyester casing to aid ride comfort and durability, with two wide, steel belts stabilizing the tread. A full-width, nylon cap ply provides high-speed capability. High-stiffness bead filler delivers sharp steering response, and the strong, jointless bead wire enhances uniformity for a smooth ride.

  1. I drive 55 miles to work one way, ride is quite and smooth, all hwy/city. Got 1st snow fall today (sheboygan wi) stopping in snow/slush bit of sliding going on, taking off slips more than I like compared to the hankook H727 which is now discontinued and these (kinker st tires) are the replacements. It’s as of now an ok tire but certainly doesn’t match up to the H727 hankook. Overall good tire for the price.

  2. BUYER BEWARE! This is a horrible tire in wet weather. Even dangerous. I was trying to save a buck and gambled poorly. Get the Michelins. They are worth it. My worn out Michelins had better traction and stability than this tire.

  3. These are still brand new to me, but I am impressed. These Hankook tires do better than average in dry and wet traction. I also just managed a very successful trek through snow and ice that had dozens of cars completely immobilized. The Hankooks did slip on occasion, but they were quite grippy for an all-season tire. The Kenergy feels fairly nimble for a T rated standard touring tire. Not as quiet and plush as the Michelin Defender Green-X tires I replaced, but then again those Michelins were TERRIBLE in snow, and pretty bad in rain too. For the price point, I think Hankook did a great job with these Kenergy STs.

  4. Though I’m getting good mileage on these tires I already have a bubble in the sidewall. And these tires don’t handle great with cornering or cornering in wet weather.
