The Solus KH16 (so’lus) is KUMHO’s Grand Touring All-Season offering developed for the drivers of sporty coupes and sedans. Solus KH16 tires were designed to offer a harmonious balance of noise comfort, ride comfort and handling performance, along with dry, wet and year-round traction, even in light snow.

The Solus KH16 is refined through the use of KUMHO’s ESCOT Technology that optimizes the tire’s shape, internal tension and footprint contact pressure. On the outside, the Solus KH16 tires feature an all-season tread compound molded into a symmetric tread design that features full-depth circumferential and multiple lateral grooves to enhance traction in rain and light snow. On the inside, twin steel belts are reinforced by nylon belt edge strips to provide high speed stability and durability, while polyester body plies provide casing strength and a smooth ride.

*Specific sizes featuring Low Rolling Resistance technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire’s Specs tab.

  1. After slightly over 40,000 miles, one of the front tires has a belt separation and the tires are significantly worn. I have had Nokian winter tires that have lasted longer. While I was initially very happy w/ the wet traction / performance, the relatively fast wear and failure of a tire at 42,000 miles means I could not recommend these tires

  2. I’m not going to get 60k on them. Not at 40k yet and I’m having to shop for new tires. Rotated regular, vehicle in alignment, they just aren’t 60k tires. Road noise and handling are fine, just the fact the tread life is underwhelming disappoints me enough to where I will not purchase these.

  3. OE on my 2018 DODGE Grand Caravan SE+ nice riding tire low road noise dry traction good .Rain/Snow Traction keep the Vechicle at Home.

  4. Bought a set of these for my wife’s Rav4. We were happy with everything about the tire accept the life of the tread. Barely 35,000 miles on them and I’m looking for new tires. Rotated and balanced regularly, and pressure checked regularly. Mix of highway and city driving. These tires just did not deliver. I will not purchase them again.

  5. Kumho SOLUS KH16 tires came on my new 2015 Dodge Caravan. Only 21000 miles later, 3 of the 4 tires had pieces of tread chucking off. Two of the tires appear to have splitting in the rim area as if the casing is separating. I was over 200 miles from home when I had to have all four tires replaced. Two other vans in our family had the same issues with this tire. There is a 2018 recall as well. I cannot recommend this tire. If Kumho’s are on a new car you are purchasing you may want to have the dealer replace with a different brand before purchasing the vehicle and not even bother with all of the Kumho’s issues.

  6. I bought these tires with high hopes for return on investment. My little car rarely carries a passenger. I rarely transport heavy items. My car is very small, but, it is well made and responsive. I have been disappointed by the tread wear of these tires. Really people, one-half the expected treadwear life is simply unacceptable. I was fastidious in maintaing tire pressure. There were no physical impediments to these tires performance. They simply didn’t deliver. I will not purchase this product again.

  7. I found this tire to be decent enough in the dry, but in wet it was only fair and prone to slipping. In any snow at all, it was as bad as having slicks. Part may be the car, but this tire offered zero grip.
