High Performance All-Season run-flat tires provide temporary self-supporting run-flat mobility for a distance of 50 miles at up to 50 mph, even after a puncture has allowed complete air pressure loss. They are for drivers who want a combination of a sporty appearance, predictable handling and H- or V-speed rated durability along with all-season traction, including in light snow. High Performance All-Season run-flat tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sports cars, sporty coupes and performance sedans.

O.E. High Performance All-Season run-flat tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle’s original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. run-flat tires’ performance category and specifications.

NOTE: Run-flat tires are only recommended for vehicles that are originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat tires and equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system.

  1. Original owner of the truck. This is my 4th set of front tires, every set had tread separation problems. Goodyear says it’s the OEM, Chrysler says it’s Goodyear’s problem. Having worked with Chrsyler, I tend to believe them. Do not buy these tires, they are dangerous as noted with other post’s. Do yourself and others a favor, report the problem to NHTSA via Safercar.gov. If they get enough responses regarding the problem they will finally do something much like the Firestone problem some years ago. Alternatives are Yokahama or Pirelli. I’ll never own another Goodyear.

  2. A decent tire that is much better than the Pirelli P6’s that originally came with the car and which lasted me about 40,000 km. The GoodYear Ultragrip winter tires which I put on right away have outlasted the Pirellis. I had to replace the Pirellis after 4 year’s and the UltraGrips are still on it. The new Eagle RSA’s are a police type of tire and so far after two years on the car have performed remarcably well as far as traction, cornering and highway driving stability are concerned. Mind you they could be a little quieter.

  3. This is the OE tire for Jeep SRT8. Truck has 45k miles now, original rears down to wear bars – HOWEVER !!!! … the front tires are a safety hazard and there should be a NHTSA recall on them. Chunks of tread, from the size of your palm to 1/2 the tire, DELAMINATE off the $440/each front tires. Has happened twice to me, check SRT8 forums for high frequency of this complaint. Chrysler blames Goodyear, Goodyear blames YOU, and you end up paying. This time I decided not to waste my time and got Bridgestone Dueler HP RFT. If you are considering the Goodyear RSA EMT as an “upgrade”, hope your life insurance and emergency manoeuver technique are both up to snuff, for when a sizable chunk of tread delaminates, dents your floorpan, and you (maybe) crash.

  4. Great Tire got over 34000 miles on it and still going strong. Because of the run flat technology, it may be a little stiffer than others but allows for good cornering. Handling is great considering the the the 6 series BMW is close to 2 ton. There is a difference between the German made tires and other of the same style. I believe the German made Run Flat Goodyear Tires which are standard on the 6 series are better quality and seem to last for way over 50000 miles.

  5. vehicle is 06 SRT, 68k on it. This marks the 3rd set of front tires needed for the vehicle. None of which was a result of wear. All three sets needed replacement as a result of tread separation on the inner contact patch. Tire company I use stated it happens on all SRT8’s, nothing they do seems to fix the problem. As noted in other reviews all seem to have similar problems. Suggest all of you go the NHTSA.gov, Safer car. You can lodge a complaint with NHTSA who will investigate if they get enough concerns logged. It take 5 minutes, hopefully Goodyear will then get their act together on these. For the guy that paid $800 for OEM brakes, check out the Centric Ceramic pads and slotted rotors. Great fit with the Brembro caliper for half the price.

I’M NOT SURE OF WHAT GOODYEAR EAGLE RUN FLAT TIRES THAT ARE OEM FOR THE MINI COOPER S IN 2005 BUT THE JUST —- IN THE RAIN AND FORGET ABOUT GOING TO WORK IN ANY KIND OF SNOW ..ALL HOLY —- THE PRICE IS 375 DOLLARS EACH…I GOT THE CAR NEW AND HAVE GONE THOUGH ELEVEN TIRES SO FAR …YOU DO THE MATH..THESE TIRES JUST —-….

  7. At about 9,000 miles, I had my winter tires taken off (that were put on the car at about 2,000 miles), and when they remounted the Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires, one had a buldge. I took them back to the BMW dealer, and they said I must have hit a pothole that cracked the liner. Who was I to question them?Now I am getting ready to take the car back at the end of the lease, and I was having the original tires put back on (which have a total of about 16,000 miles), again the Goodyear RS-A, and another one had a buldge because of a crack in the lining.I had run Nokian Hakapalitas for the other 16,000 miles I have had this car, and nothing like this has happened.Talking to my tire shop, they have heard of this problem on other BMW’s. When I contacted Goodyear though, they said it must be a road hazard problem.Anyone else ever hear of this?
