The Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat is Pirelli’s Grand Touring All-Season run-flat tire developed for sports coupes, sedans and small Crossover vehicles. Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat tires feature Pirelli Self-Supporting Run Flat Technology that enhances safety and convenience by providing temporary extended mobility in the event a puncture allows complete loss of air pressure. Pirelli Self-Supporting Run Flat Technology allows tires to literally “run flat” for up to 50 miles at 50 mph (80 km at 80 km/h) unless otherwise specified by the vehicle manufacturer for Original Equipment tires. The Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat is designed to deliver all-season traction and handling for drivers who operate their vehicles in America’s various weather conditions, including in light snow.

The Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat’s unique combination of qualities have been made possible by Pirelli’s Green Performance approach to developing products offering a synergy of driving pleasure, performance, safety and respect of the environment. The Pirelli Ecoimpact icons on the sidewalls of Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat tires highlight their contribution to the environment with regards to energy efficiency, clean air, low noise and long wear.

The Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat uses a low rolling resistance tread compound that features technologically advanced polymers to increase grip on wet and dry roads while it reduces vehicle fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that promotes even wear, improves ride comfort and reduces noise levels. A robust outboard shoulder enhances lateral grip on dry roads while four circumferential channels flow water from between the tire’s contact patch and the road to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. Independent tread blocks and multiple sipes increase the biting edges needed to enhance traction in light snow. The tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts to provide strength and durability on top of a polyester cord body. Pirelli’s extended mobility solution is made possible by their MIRS computer-controlled robotized manufacturing system, a production process that assures consistency in the application of the additional sidewall reinforcements that provide the self-supporting run-flat capability.

Note: Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat tires are designed and produced using eco-focused manufacturing methods and feature low rolling resistance (LRR) compounds and constructions to enhance the vehicle fuel economy of their Original Equipment applications. These tires are identified as such with Pirelli’s Ecoimpact designation on their Sizes and Specs pages.

Though they cannot be labeled as run-flat tires, tires branded with MOExtended or MOE on their sidewalls offer run-flat-like characteristics by delivering limited temporary extended mobility after a puncture results in complete loss of air pressure. Because MOExtended or MOE tires do not have the same speed and distance endurance of conventional run-flat tires, they should not be substituted in any situation where a conventional run-flat tire is required. To confirm what your vehicle needs, check our Original Equipment tire listing for your year, make and model or see your vehicle owner’s manual.

  1. These were on my BMW 328d x-Drive wagon when I bought it (used). They were at all times extremely loud and jarring on even the smallest road crack or bump. They also would tend to lose traction in corners if I carried any speed, and would frequently spin on acceleration, which, considering the diesel lag of my wagon, was surprising. Obviously some of these issues is probably due to the fact that they’re run-flats, but our other car (2015 Golf Sportwagon) was running a non-run-flat version of these and they were only marginally better. On the plus side, they wore evenly and were all within less than 1/32 of each other when I removed them (between 4 and 5/32s). Exact mileage is a guess since they predated my purchase.I replaced them with Vredestein Quattrac 5 (non-run-flat) and the traction is better, the ride is smoother, and the road noise is literally half what it was before (3 db decrease on average over a repeated downhill coast, taking into account volume at idle to account for A/C and any other variables that may have been at work).

  2. Had my E400 Mercedes for almost one year now. These were delivered on the car. I accept the somewhat harsher ride due to the thicker sidewall. On a recent trip I was doing 70 MPH on Ohio I-71 and was dealing with a pretty pock marked area of road but failed to see a HUGE pothole. I hit it dead on with front driver side wheel followed by the rear going through as well. I couldn’t believe the front end withstood the impact. There was a vibration as a result and I pulled over to inspect the wheels and tires on that side, nothing visible. I went to the nearest MB dealer and upon examining the wheels they were both bent, the front worse than the read, but the tires examined both inflated and off the rims showed no evidence of the impact. Feel badly for those owner who experienced poor performance when hitting even minor pot holes but that surely wasn’t the case with this incident.

  3. I’ve had many other brands over the years on a variety of sport sedans and I have to say I absolutely love these tires, so much so, I’m getting ready to replace the ones I have with another set. Granted most of my miles are high speed highway, but I do live in very hilly western PA where if you’re not going up you’re going down and our roads are notorious for having some of the worst surfaces in the country. Having a Quattro certainly makes judging traction difficult but I haven’t shoveled my driveway the last two winters. On the other hand previous AWD vehicles tended to eat other brands of similar tires. I hope I’m just not lucky with this set!!!

  4. Tires were OEM on car. Performed surprisingly well through the first New England winter, I was happy with traction in both small and large snowfalls. Performed well into the second winter, noticed a lost less traction and confidence while driving in inclamate weather. Now 30,000 miles and I am looking to replace the tire. Overall I have been satisfied with their performance.

  5. equip on merceden w205 factory, bad corning in wet traction, slow steering response, feel numb , very noisy ,and super unconfortable.

  6. These tires are awful. First off, you can’t patch a run flat, so one little leak and you need a tire. And replacing one on an all wheel vehicleisn’t really a good thing to do unless the opposing tire is close to new itself. So you end up replacing tires and rotating to compensate. They wear so fast. My BMW dealer says “yeah, they’re soft tires” but the only benefit I see in these tires is to the dealer. First thing I did after my lease was up was replace them. I also don’t know how these are even rated for all-weather, they stink in the snow!

  7. It hasn’t rained or snowed here in LA since I’ve driven on these, so I can’t speak to that. However, I can speak to how the tires handle in the dry. These tires are basically new still, but even so, their grip is very disappointing. The good news is the tire rides fairly quietly and fairly comfortably. In day to day driving, they are fine, but the tires are prone to make noise on cornering if you drive over painted surfaces, even if you aren’t cornering particularly hard. It’s a hint at the worst part about these tires. I occasionally have to pass through the canyons near LA and I typically enjoy a moderately spirited drive through there, nothing crazy, but the tires start to squeal under moderate load, getting very loud very quickly. Compared to the Continental DWS-06’s I ran before, these have far less grip. It makes this sport sedan handle like my grandma’s crossover. Even considering it’s an all season tire, the grip is atrocious and surely means the car can not stop as fast and would be less likely to successfully handle an emergency evasive maneuver. The tire is predictable enough, but that’s only because they seem to let go before they see any serious forces. Normally I wait until I put more miles on a tire before reviewing them, but this one is just such an immediate letdown, I decided to review it early.

  8. Pay attention to the reviews that talk about susceptibility to damage. Both f/r tires on the driver side ripped open as I hit, what I characterize as an imperfection in the pavement, at 15mph coming to a rolling stop at a red light. I couldn’t believe my eyes when the TPMS sensors said I had two flats. I’ve replaced all 4 tires with Michelins and the car behaves totally different. The ride was very harsh on the Pirellis. Totally unforgiving on expansion joints. Worse yet, terrible feedback while cornering. Turn-in felt very vague on the Pirellis and difficult to hold the car straight at higher speeds. All this has been solved with the Michelins. These tires are worthless and BMW should be ashamed of making these OEM.

  9. Great little tires. Purchased from Tire Rack on Wednesday – delivered to my front door by Friday – Costco put the two on on Saturday for $38 – Fabulous! I am so thrilled with Tire Rack.com. The Mini Dealer I usually go to quoted me $800 for two tires – I paid $310 – so I’ve saved $450 – AMAZING! And thank you!

  10. These Pirelli Cinturato run-flats were OEM on my BMW. After just a short while, the noise coming from these tires started to drive me nuts. After 25,000 horribly noisy miles they’re ready for replacement and I’m looking forward to either the Michelin PS (non-run flats) or the Continental (run-flats).On my last BMW, I had the Continental CONTIPROCONTACT SSR Grand Touring All-Season Run-flats and had no issues in terms of noise or handling. So I was surprised that my new run-flats, these Pirelli Cinturatos, were so noisy. I should have checked on the Bimmer posts because a lot of people had the same complaint.

  11. These are OEM tires on my BMW. Handling performance is outstanding, the car feels as though it’s held in place with magnets. Ride is a bit hard, which is to be expected with low profile tires. They wear fairly quickly, again to be expected with performance tires, with about half tread remaining at 18,000 miles. Otherwise, good traction, good gas mileage and reasonably quiet ride. What I didn’t expect was having to replace two of them this soon. The first succumbed to a pothole at 7K miles, which blew out the sidewall and bent the rim. Not the tire’s fault, though. The second picked up a stone in the center tread and went flat. I decided to test their run-flat feature, being rated for 50 miles at up to 50 mph flat. After just seven miles the inside sidewall was destroyed. I suppose that might be enough to keep from being stranded on an interstate, but if you run them flat expect to replace, not repair.

  12. The Pirelli RFTs came stock with the car and are admittedly better than previous RFTs that I’ve tried. But they still suffer from the same issues as all run flat tires: they are noisy, they are hard and generally uncomfortable on mediocre roads, and they stumble around spirited corners owing to unforgiving sidewalls. The desire to free up trunk space storage really doesn’t outweigh the requirement to run these tires. Consequently, I pulled these off the car today and have swapped into Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus tires of the same size. I’ll write a full review on those tires after I’ve put more serious mileage on the car. However, out of the gate, they are eerily smooth and quiet in comparison, and noticeably more comfortable. I’ve already dropped a flat tire kit into the car’s storage bin.

  13. DO NOT BUY THIS TIRE or any Pirelli tire for that matter! My first set had a sidewall split at 5,287 miles (mounted my car for 5 months) and there was only 6/32 tread left on all 4 tires. My second set had road hazard damage near the sidewall so could not be repaired at 7,077 miles (mounted on my car for 8 months) and again there was only 6/32 tread left on all 4 tires. Tire Rack was great about reimbursement for the damaged single tires but because of the significant tread wear, I had to purchase the 3 other tires so ended up buying 3 full sets of run flat tires in a 22 month period for my BMW x3. I have to purchase run flats because BMW doesn’t provide a spare or a even place to put one in my SUV. I mount Blizzaks on my car in the winter, so these Pirelli tires weren’t even on my car for all 4 seasons. Pirelli doesn’t offer any warranty on these tires and will reluctantly give a “one time only, good will” 50% credit on the other 3 tires (after going through a lot of hassle with Pirelli customer service). I chose the Michelin Primacy MXM4 ZP Run Flat as my replacement tires this time because I will never purchase another Pirelli tire and Michelin offers a 6 year/55k warranty for this tire and the reviews were much better. Fingers crossed I don’t have to replace all my run flat tires again in less than a year!

  14. In less than 1 year, we have had to replace 4 tires in the front end of our Mercedes. Two of those tires were replaced within 1 month of each other. These tires simply will not hold up to a pot hole of any kind. They bubble on the sidewall and split super easy. I would not recommend these to anyone.

  15. These tires came on my car when purchased new. Luckily I did not have any issues as many have noted with blow outs or flat tires due to hitting pot holes. These tires handled pretty well when cornering on dry pavement and the ride was pretty smooth/quiet on nice pavement. Once the pavement got bad so did the tires. The ride was harsh and the rear would get unsettled when pushed. Never had any hydroplane issues but when cornering in the wet(at normal speeds) could feel a little give in the rear on occasion. In New England we get a fair amount of snow and the tires performed pretty well in light snow(<3 inches) and they also performed pretty well on ice. In the last 5k miles the ride became very harsh and almost unbearable. Tread wear was decent I guess at 29k miles. I actually just swapped these out for Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS tires and couldn't be happier with a non-run flat tire. I wouldn't buy again due to the harsh ride, short tread wear and cost of these new is ridiculous.

  16. On my second tire in 6 months. They do the job until you take a trip over an hour. Went on 2 trips from Poconos to Philly both times I got home with a flat. Ridiculous to have a sport inspired vehicle come with such a delicate tire. Side walls completely split with huge chunks in them from going over bumpy roads. Over $300 each time right from BMW with install a complete nightmare and to live it twice is horrible. If you must go OEM which I don’t recommend buy them on tire rack their $100 cheaper

  17. Had these tires on a cadillac xts for 3 years, great improvement from summer tires, now am using them on a mercedes sclass, on a different set, feedback on the steering wheel is stronger then desired (every bump on the road is noticeable). I guess they will make a lighter car feel great on them, but on heavier cars it will just be more challenging (my own experience) . I’m using run flats just FYI.

  18. 18000 miles and lost two tires to sidewall bubbles. Run flats are the worst. Unfortunately, can not put any other tire on the OEM wheels. MB needs to add a spare and abandon the run flat. Thinking of going back to Maserati!!!

  19. Like driving on a washboard. Put four new P7’s on my BMW. Been back to the shop 3x in 2 weeks to have them balanced with Road Force test. Two tires have already been replaced because they could not be balanced due to factory defect. They vibrate at 40mph and the vibrations intensify as speed increases. They feel unsafe. They also make horrible “womp womp” sounds because they are so uneven. One of the “new” replacements is VISIBLY warped. It is not round! I am so tired of taking time off from work to go back to the shop so they can put new garbage tires on my car. Working with them to get a different brand put on my car. As a bonus, the loaners they gave me…two out of three had Pirelli P7 and they both had vibration issues…not a coincidence.

  20. I bought these tires because it was the same brand my Mini came with when I purchased it. I bought my Mini with 15k, you could not hear a sound, it grasped the road perfectly even at 80-90mph. I am utterly dissatisfied with these set, the noise is complete throughout each daily highway commute. It does not grasp as my previous Pirelli. Complete loss of money. Never again.

  21. This tire is terrible for an OEM tire. The worst aspect is the wet performance. I am shocked how easily they hydroplane. I have a FWD Mini Clubman which is about a 3400lb vehicle. The wet performance with no standing water is mediocre. The traction is generally bad, too. My 134hp Mini will spin the front tires with some regularity and I never floor it from a stop. This probably contributes to the quick wear. Had the tires checked two days ago and they are all at 4 to 5mm. My lease is up in 3 months so I will have to buy the dealership a new set of these sorry tires if I decide to turn the vehicle in. This is the worst set of tires I have had since the Bridgestone Turanzas on a BMW ten years ago. Those had a class action lawsuit. The good points are none. They are mediocre in every way and I drive different cars in winter because these would probably get me killed in winter. Shame on Mini for picking such a poor tire.

  22. Probably the worst tires I’ve ever had. Both dry and wet traction are quite bad, MB C 300 is not weak but not really sporty either but I have to remember not to push gas too much in any turns or wet surface. And the rare tires are pretty much flat after 29k miles.Certainly will stay away.

  23. March 2019, I turned in a 2017 Cadillac ATS and obtained a 2019 CTS. Same tires, both vehicles. Since October 2018, I have blown 5 tires. Destroyed 2 tires/rims legitimately on the ATS due to potholes/bad roads in Michigan. The first week I obtained the CTS, blew a tire on a pothole that I barely hit – at least not hard enough to destroy a tire. Replaced at a dealer cost of $400. Sept 2019, traveled through Kentucky. On I-71 hit an unleveled slab on the fwy doing 70 mph (one slab higher than the other). Tire immediately blew. Dealer cost, $373. October 2019, was traveling home in Michigan. Never once hitting a pothole, an unleveled slab, a piece of metal or glass, and the sidewall split, putting me in a very dangerous situation on the fwy. I’m very careful driving with these tires. I don’t hit curbs, run over things, and avoid potholes at all costs. These tires are dangerous, and a class action law suit should be filed against Perilli. Fortunately, they’re covered under a special warranty. If I had to pay out of pocket, these tires would have cost me $2,000 since October 2018. The run-flat is wonderful because it can get you out of a dangerous situation. But when the sidewall is torn, you can’t drive on them.

  24. These Pirelli run flats are the worst run flats I have ever owned, by far. They were OEM on my BMW 540, and I blew through 3 sidewalls in the first year. I only noticed each time based on driving feedback / noise (i.e. not once did I hit anything that warranted even checking my tires, and in three different times of year / weather conditions). Pirelli did cover the first two replacements, I bought the last one here. Most recently, in cold weather but with no precipitation, I lost control taking a corner / off ramp at about 45 mph as the tires lost their grip (completely dry road and I had been driving for 30+ minutes). Luckily, I was able to regain control. But I am switching to non run flats for good. And I agree with another reviewer, there should be a class action law suit on this particular tire. I have called BMW multiple times, in addition to the trips to the dealership and the calls to Pirelli to obtain the replacements along the way.

  25. These tires came as original equipment on my daughter’s 2018 Cooper Mini S Convertible. Since that time, we have had the sidewall blow out not once, but twice. Both times on the right front tire. The first time, we had the car for about 3 months, and now again 8 months after replacing the tire.

  26. These are OE on my BMW. They —-. About a year or two ago, with 15k miles on the clock, I hit a pothole on the left side of my car and the front left tire had cracks in the sidewall in three different places. I had to replace the tire, and I forget exactly how much it cost but it was substantial. At the time I chalked that up to the size of the pothole. Today I went to inflate the tires after going a month without driving and discovered the same problem on the front right tire- except that thing had never hit a big pothole. Just sat around for a month. Might that damage have accumulated over time? Maybe. But that tire has seen nowhere near the amount of abuse to warrant buying two new tires after 15 and 25k miles. For those wondering about wear, after 25,000 miles the three original tires have tread depths of 3.76, 2.84, and 3.20 mm as measured with a digital caliper in the outermost tread groove. The one I replaced has 4.41 mm of tread depth after approximately (very rough approximation) 10k miles. I don’t know what they had originally.Long story short- Don’t even think about buying these tires, they’re junk and will cost you ridiculous amounts of time and money just to keep your car safe and on the road. I’ll be replacing them soon with literally anything I can find.

  27. The only problem I have had with this tire is that the original set of them only lasted 15k miles with me accelerating hard stopping hard’ cornering fast, and driving in excess of the speed limit almost with no exceptions. They are very ample for a spirited driver to have the traction necessary to drive hard. I could corner thru a well paved 90 degree corner at 50 mph in my 2011 BMW 528i I also was impressed with the Sonsio Road Hazard Warranty that is free thru Tire Rack. I blew out more than 4 of them and was granted a replacement tire in 4 instances that I had not bought the tire thru a tire retailer independent of the Tire Rack I came to find out however that they do not cover replacement tires with a Road Hazard Warranty. Fair enough (LIMIT 1 REPLACEMENT PER ORIGINALLY INSURED TIRE). I had one of the replacements ordered thru the Tire Rack by an independent retailer and the Warranty did not pass on to me. After that I was careful to buy the replacement tire thru Tire Rack myself and bring it to the Tire Shop to have it mounted. I now have 4 of them that are wearing relatively slow since I quit hurrying around so fervishly. I recommend them highly, they deliver a comfortable compromise between road feel and a comfortable ride. I would buy them again, from Tire Rack for sure.

  28. My experience with run-flat tires is limited to this tire on my 320i and the Goodyear Eagle LS-2’s on my X3. As far as my experience goes with run-flats, these Pirellis are much, much better than the Goodyears. The P7’s handle well in the dry and are ok in the wet. They resist hydroplaning pretty well and they are wearing very well. However, I drive mostly highway miles, which would explain my experience in the treadwear department. They currently have about 28k miles on them and I should be able to get another 30k out of them.I will not be buying any type of run-flat tire to replace these. The ride is just too harsh and road noise is kinda pronounced as well. I will be purchasing some kind of go-flat tire in the near future.

  29. These came stock on my 2019 Cooper S Convertible. Now, this little MINI has a lot of go power with a turbo and a light weight, but man I am shocked at how awful these tires have worn. At 8300 miles, my front tires are at 4/32″ already but the rear tires are far better at 9/32″ and look almost new. I drove 7000 miles in my first year with the car and really liked how smooth the Pirellis were, great high speed stability, but the ride on these runflats was very hard, bumps were harsh, and road noise became unbearable especially on pavement that wasn’t entirely perfect. I live in FL so we get lots of sun and summers have torrential rain that I always seem to be stuck driving in. Rain performance has declined significantly over the year and I no longer trust these tires in the rain. They’ll be coming off and saved for lease end turn in, and I’ll be replacing with a better non-RFT alternative for more security and comfort for the next 2 years.

  30. The overall performance is what you would expect from an all season runflat tire, decent/good in all conditions, great in none. They have gotten me comfortably through several NE winters and I can’t complain about traction in snow, but how much is attributed to a good tire and how much to my X-Drive, I cannot say. What I can say is that these tires do not last, they are highly susceptible to damage from potholes and other road wear related issues. I have had to replace the front tires three times in 19,000 miles due to sidewall bulges and splitting rubber at the radial bands. My rear tires have less than 2-3/32″ after 19,000 easy miles (one with a sidewall bulge that is ready to split the outer rubber layers), I do not thrash the car at all and most of my longer mileage trips are all highway miles. I do not recommend these tires, buy literally anything else. At $285/tire, the build quality is junk…these should be $200 tires, at best, and even then, I would recommend anything else.

  31. OEM AR spec, doing just fine at 3k. I’ve already hit some significant potholes here in Jersey, and no damage yet. Maybe AR spec has a different compound, but I am bewildered at some of the other reviews. I suppose it’s possible there were stealth fixes, but these are tires with global supply chains, not software. They don’t really even feel like RFTs, and we’ve had Bridgestone Driveguards on our minivan. Pushing them in an onramp yields a compliant yet stable experience and track, with only miniscule corrections needed. You definitely can tell when you’re approaching the grip limit, and when you do run out – it is predictable and user-friendly; although to be fair im not sure how much of the above experience is due to Alfas AWD system.
